'Breeding Type That Endures'

Lauralyn Precious
This scoop was awarded to us for Precious at the 2013 Tas Equine Endurance Assn annual dinner.
Precious was born in 2004 and was sadly made an orphan at 36 hours of age. She continuted to thrive although for awhile I didn't get a lot of sleep. As a yearling she won Junior Champion Arabian Filly awards. Continuing to grow fast her eventual height was 15.3 hands. (Who says orphan foals won't grow) In 2011 she started her endurance career doing 2 40km rides and an 80km, then in 2012 started in ernest her preparation for the 2012 Tom Quilty in Tasmania. She loved being on track and at the Quilty the further she went the better she got on her first 160km ride.
She is now enjoying life as a mother with a filly foal by Prince Of Egypt that has, if possible, more attitude than her mother. Needless to say Precious is our favorite mare and as Laurie would say ,has been completely humanised over the years.
